Hey there—I’m Glen Barnhardt. I’m a semi-retired software engineer, business owner, and proud dad, living life on Hernando Beach with my amazing wife, Sue. After decades in the tech world (with a Master’s in Management Information Systems under my belt), I’ve shifted gears into something that lights me up more than ever—AI-powered development.
I started coding back in 1982 when my dad came home from a timeshare presentation with a Timex Sinclair 1000. He didn’t know what to do with it—so he gave it to me. That one gesture sparked a lifelong passion for software and innovation.
These days, all my code is written using AI.
But not just any code—I’ve spent serious time crafting a workflow that makes AI development not just fast, but rock-solid and hallucination-proof. I call it “Vibe Coding”—a method of building software with intention, structure, and clarity, where the AI becomes your partner instead of a distraction.

Here’s the core philosophy I follow when working with Claude Code and Claude 4:
- Start with a killer PRD – Always begin by using AI to help craft an ultra-detailed Project Requirements Document.
- Break it into meaningful tasks – Each task is scoped and refined so that intent is crystal clear when AI picks it up later.
- Invest in memory – I create global and local memory files that teach the AI how I code, what matters to me, and how to stay on track.
These practices aren’t just habits—they’re a framework. And when you mix them with modern dev workflows, it becomes a force multiplier. I’d put this system up against any large team, because in the right hands, AI doesn’t just speed you up—it makes you better.

🧬 What Drives Me
I stepped back from the grind to work fewer hours and live more intentionally. But I never stopped building. In fact, AI has allowed me to 40X my productivity—I get to create things for me, not just clients or contracts. That’s the magic of where we’re heading as builders.
At my core, I’m a creative. I’m also entrepreneurial. And right now, I’m using every bit of experience to carve out a space where devs can blend high-quality engineering with next-gen AI fluency.
